Lorraine Smith is a Senior Director at SustainAbility and leads eastern US operations as a member of its Global Executive Team. She directs client projects on strategy and stakeholder engagement, and she leads SustainAbility’s Engaging Stakeholders network, informing and enabling the transparency efforts of over thirty companies dedicated to corporate accountability.

Over more than a decade of sustainability consulting work, she has facilitated executive engagements and external dialogue with global corporations in mining and metals, finance, retail, consumer products, food, agriculture, and manufacturing. Additionally, Lorraine’s expertise in sustainability reporting and transparency focuses on opportunities for transparency to drive performance above and beyond communications.

Before joining SustainAbility, Lorraine worked on sustainability projects with organizations from a range of industries, including many private sector clients, as well as not-for-profits such as Canadian Business for Social Responsibility and the Evergreen Foundation.

Lorraine is fluent in French, and also speaks conversational German, Portuguese and Spanish. She has holds an Honours BA from Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada.
