Ashley Muse

Senior Sustainability Manager, YR&G

Ashley works with institutions, developers, and architects to strengthen the connection between design, health, and ecology, with over ten years of experience in architectural design, integrative project management, and green building certification. She has worked on a wide range of residential, commercial, educational, cultural, community, and master plan projects.

Ashley has expertise in ecologically driven passive design, energy and water efficiency, responsible materials selection, and building health and wellness. She is also an experienced facilitator committed to a cooperative approach to the design and development process. She enjoys working with diverse and interdisciplinary teams, drawing on her skills in systems thinking.



Ashley has developed and teaches several courses on green building, sustainability, and resilience at Columbia, the Boston Architectural College and Colorado Mountain College. Her research interests are focused on the subjects of equity and community engagement, how an understanding of place and ecology can inform development, and what it means to design for the uncertainty of climate change.
