Max is a registered architect and manages sustainability projects at SPN Ecology. Over the course of his 15 years of practicing sustainability, Max has lead many sustainability leadership projects including the implementation of sustainability for all buildings and infrastructure at the World Trade Center, the first LEED Gold academic building in New York State, the first LEED Gold Core and Shell building in the Bronx, the highest rated LEED for Commercial Interiors project ever certified by USGBC (at the time of certification in 2011), and a winning competition entry for a zero impact sustainable development strategy for the country of Finland. A witness to the transformational influence of LEED in the real estate market, Max is also pushing to implement programs that strive to go beyond LEED like the Living Building Challenge, the 2030 Challenge, and Natural Capital | Ecosystem Services.
